We are dedicated to cultivating an environment where youth can encounter Christ and
grow in understanding of their true identities as sons and daughters of God, going forth in
the modern world to live authentic lives as Catholic disciples.

Youth Ministry Program

Our Youth Ministry Program encompasses all 5 parishes of Neenah and Menasha. (St. Margaret Mary, St.
Gabriel, St. Mary, St. John the Baptist, and St. Patrick).

We offer a variety of events and opportunities to get involved in the parishes of Neenah and Menasha and
in the community:

During the academic year we offer:

• One middle school event/month
•  One high school event/month
•  One combined middle + high school event/month
  These events may include but not limited to: mini lock-ins, overnight lock-ins for middle school, field trips to
  Nordic Mountain, the movie theater, bowling, etc. Adoration, Mass, sporting tournaments, etc.

During the summer we offer:

• Totus Tuus weeklong program (grades 1-12)
• Local Mission opportunity in Neenah/Menasha (grades 6-12)
• Out of state mission opportunity (grades 9-12)
• Love Begins Here mission opportunity (grades 5-8)
• Steubenville Conference trip (grades 9-12)
• Outdoor get togethers in July and August

Youth Ministry Leadership Teams:

Youth Core Team

Our Youth Core Team is a great way to grow closer in your relationship with Jesus and your friends, as well as striving to become peer leaders in the parish community! Core Team members are expected to be role models for their peers and other youth, in and outside of the parish. This includes striving to become disciple of Christ through investing in prayer outside of our weekly meetings, helping to form accepting and dependable community for our team, and stepping outside of your comfort zone.

Adult Core Team

Our Adult Core Team are role models and leaders in the faith. These team members continue to live our Catholic values – be open to the Holy Spirit regarding how He is calling us to serve our youth. This includes meeting monthly to discuss how past events have gone and what future events are coming up. Adult Core Team members assist the Faith Formation  Coordinator and Youth Ministry intern preparing for youth events, promoting, finding chaperones, providing food and supplies, etc.

Food & Meal Donations

 

Food is such an essential element in bringing people together and of our faith! We gather around the altar table to receive nourishment from our Lord weekly in the Eucharist. We also gather together at events to share a meal – we would love your help with this!

 

In supplying food, please think of things your kids and grandkids like to eat and remember teenagers can consume a large amount of food!

 

If you would like to provide a meal, or if you prefer to pay for the expenses of a meal or part of it, please contact our Faith Formation Coordinator Bethany Robinson - brobinson@smcatholicschools.org

 

Thank you for helping feed our young people!

 

 

Presence Ministry- Chaperones, Helpers, etc.

 

This ministry is all about being present to young people. They need role models and just friendly faces with all they deal with at school and in the world.

Prayer Warriors

 

Please pray for different intentions related to Youth Ministry:

 

• Prayers for the youth of the parish – for middle and high school students to encounter Jesus and become missionary disciples
• Prayers for our mission trip participants and all the people we will encounter (June 5-13)
• Prayers for our high school Core Team who help to plan and run our youth ministry events
• Prayers for our Adult Core Team and chaperones who help support and chaperone our youth ministry events
• Prayers for chaperones and supporters – for generous involvement from adults in the parish community
• Prayers for the Faith Formation Coordinator, Bethany and the Youth Ministry Intern, Graham – for energy and guidance by the Holy Spirit
• Prayers for the family – for unity and strength to face adversity and grow in holiness like the Holy Family
• Prayers for all youth events – for openness to the Holy Spirit and deepening of faith in all who participate
• Prayers for stability and growth in youth ministry – for trust in God’s plan and for His help in creating missionary disciples

 

We suggest one Our Father , one Hail Mary and one Glory Be . Please feel free to alter or pray for these intentions in whatever way you feel called!
