Mother of Perpetual Help

Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
Just as the Virgin Mother consoled and comforted her Divine Child, so too does she console and comfort us, her spiritual children, in our afflictions. We can always come to her in our time of need and receive her help. In this iconography, Mary is represented as the one who guides us to the Redeemer.
Devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help stems from a deep-seated belief in Mary's role as a powerful intercessor and a source of comfort and hope. Catholics turn to her for strength in trials, guidance in difficult situations, and especially during times of temptation or at the hour of death. The devotion is rooted in the image of the icon, which depicts Mary looking at the viewer and inviting them to seek her help, while pointing to Jesus as the source of salvation.
Devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help offers a sense of comfort and hope in a world often filled with challenges and uncertainties.
The image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, with its depiction of Mary looking at the viewer and pointing to Jesus, is a powerful symbol of her invitation to approach her for help.
We offer monthly prayers to Our Mother of Perpetual Help on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, following the 7:30am Mass at St. Mary.
you are invited to join us in this devotion. Just as Mary was there present for Christ in His time of need, she remains ever-present in our own time of need as Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
