Out of State Mission Trip has been cancelled due to lack of registrations this year - we are planning for another trip summer of 2027!
Why are Mission Trips Important?
Every year, our youth head out on mission trips to serve communities in need. While the hard work—painting houses, clearing brush, or running day camps—is important, the spiritual impact on our teens is where the real transformation happens.
Here are three reasons why mission trips are vital for building lifelong faith:
- Faith in Action: It’s one thing to hear about the "Body of Christ" in a pew; it’s another to be His hands and feet. Service pulls faith out of the head and into the heart, showing teens that the Gospel is a living, breathing reality.
- Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone: By leaving behind the distractions of phones and daily routines, our youth enter a space where they are more reliant on God. In that vulnerability, they often hear His voice more clearly than ever before.
- A Lasting Community: Sharing intense, meaningful experiences creates a unique bond. These trips turn a group of individuals into a "domestic church," providing a supportive circle of peers who encourage one another to stay active in their faith long after the van pulls back into the parish parking lot.
When our youth serve others, they don’t just change a community—they allow God to change them.
